Text alerts from Artech Logistics.
We send short text messages about service requests: to a customer who gave us a mobile number, and to our own staff when a request comes in or a job is assigned. This page says who receives them, how someone opts in, and how to stop.
Who receives them
Two groups. Customers who enter a mobile number and tick the text-update box when they request a site walk or submit a ticket on this site. And Artech Logistics employees and contractors who have asked for alerts: the owner, the office manager, and field technicians. Every message is about a specific service request. We do not send marketing texts.
What the messages say
To a customer: confirmation that we received the request, with its reference number; then updates as it moves, such as a technician being assigned, a visit being scheduled, or the work being done. For example: "Artech Logistics: we have your ticket ART-260914-1234. Where it stands: https://app.artechlogistics.com/c/[private code] Reply STOP to stop texts." The confirmation text carries a private link to that request's own status page; the link shows that request and nothing else. To staff: a new request with its number, urgency, system and site and a link to open it; an assignment; occasionally a reminder that a ticket marked Down has not been acknowledged. Replies go to the same request, so a technician can answer a text with a short update and it is recorded on the ticket.
How someone opts in
Customers opt in by ticking an unticked box under the optional phone field on the site-walk or ticket form. The box reads: "Text me about this request at this number, including the reference number and updates on it. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop." Leave the box unticked if you do not want text updates. If you tick it, add the phone number to use. Staff opt in themselves, by turning on text alerts and entering their mobile number in their profile in the Artech Service Desk app, or by telling the office in writing that they want alerts at a given number. Nobody is added without asking for it, and agreeing to alerts is not a condition of employment.
How often, and what it costs
A customer receives a handful of messages over the life of one request, and none once it is closed. Staff frequency follows the volume of service requests: usually a few messages a day, occasionally more on a busy day, and none on a quiet one. Message and data rates may apply under your carrier's plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to stop, and how to get help
Reply STOP to any message and the alerts end; you receive one final text confirming that. Reply HELP for help. Turning alerts off in the app does the same thing. You can also email info@artechlogistics.com or call (248) 988-9040.
Privacy
We use your number for your request and any text updates you choose. It is not sold, rented or shared, and opt-in information is never shared with anyone for marketing. Messages are delivered through Twilio, which processes them on our behalf. Our privacy page covers the rest of what this site collects.
